On Wednesday 5 March, we hosted a film evening at the Kinoler cinema as part of the Transition Days film series organised by CELL asbl.
More than 30 people filled the village cinema in Kahler to watch the 2023 documentary Outgrow the System by Cecilia Paulsson and Anders Nilsson. The film aims to make the economy more accessible and examines the definition of the term and the ways in which our current system is failing us, then explores new economic perspectives such as doughnut economics, degrowth, the participatory economy and many more.
The film was followed by an ideation workshop led by Boost Lokal Lëtzebuerg, where participants had the opportunity to share their thoughts on the film before taking part in a brainstorming activity on local issues and potential citizen-led solutions with economic impact. The talented Marine Henry then captured the discussions in visual form in an inspiring mural!
